Val-257, owner by Confederate Air Force and flown by Bob Covington, can be seen in the hanger at General Aviation. While few Vals exist flying today, this one is very unique.
Val-257 was flown extensively not only in the movie "Tora! Tora! Tora!", but in the new 2001 release of Pearl Harbor! Feel free to come by our hanger and take a look at this outstanding plane.

General Aviation is the home to some of Houston's most well preserved, 1940's and 50's warbirds. Our hanger alone stores 2 North American T-6's, a Navion, a Val, a Twin Beech, and a Japanese Zero as well as a Russian Mig-15.

Why? Not only is
this a collection of passion, General Aviation owners and crew believe in preserving the aircraft that fought in previous wars and were instrumental in our Nations freedoms. Groups such as Tora! Tora! Tora! and the Confederate Airforce not only maintain a large fleet of historical airplanes, but perform in airshows, performing an incredible re-enactment of Pearl Harbor and even several Hollywood movies.
These airshows are nationally renowned and can be seen in such places as Wings Over Houston airshow at Ellington Base in Houston Texas every year.
Be sure to check out their web pages for some breathtaking pictures of what these dedicated personnel are capable of performing.
Not only is this group exceptional pilots pushing aircraft to the edge every time they fly, but they must also be exceptional mechanics and airframe masters.
Several of the "Japanese Zero's" are replicas converted from the North American T-6. To convert from one to the other successfully takes a talent that has no price tag. Most of our aircraft are in complete functional flyable condition.
We encourage you to stop by and not only see a piece of history, but investigate a new aspect of flying.
